Dermajuv (dermagist) Acne Treatment Review
Dermajuv acne treatment will soon be changing it's name to Dermagist. While the name change may mean little to those of you have never heard of Dermajuv in the first place, it should be noted that the company promises that nothing else about this product has changed. Is the lack of change in the product itself a good or a bad thing? Let's take a closer look at the product and find out.
About Dermajuv Acne Treatment
Dermajuv claims to be an all natural acne treatment system that consists of both an acne cleanser and an acne fighting cream. While it states that it treats acne it does not claim to have ingredients that will prevent or lessen further breakouts. As most of you know most effective acne treatments contain benzoyl peroxide. This product does not stating that it uses resveratrol instead to kill the bacteria that causes acne.
According to the Dermajuv site clinical studies have shown that resveratrol is as effective at killing acne causing bacteria as benzoyl peroxide without any of the side effects. Unfortunately the site does not give links to these clinical studies and a search of the Internet did not reveal any such studies that could be viewed by consumers who were considering purchasing Dermajuv to help ensure themselves that resveratrol was indeed effective in killing acne causing bacteria.
Ironically, Dermajuv acne treatment also states that it contains ingredients that helps soothe the skin as well as fight acne and proves this by listing their ingredients. Which include glycolic acid, tangerine oil, niacinimide, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, camomile, aloe vera and shea butter leaving little doubt that this product may well soothe and moisturize your skin.
Does Dermajuv Acne Work?
Unfortunately, there is little evidence to suggest that Dermajuv is effective for fighting acne. A search of the internet revealed no clinical studies suggesting that Dermajuv is effective in helping heal or prevent acne. In addition, most of the reviews seem to be only repeats of what Dermajuv states on their websites. There seems to be few if any unbiased reviews regarding this product. Dermajuv does offer a 30 day money back guarantee but, a look at the fine print states the refund is only good for any unopened product and there is a $7.00 restocking fee you will be charged for the return of the product.
In essence, this guarantee is worthless as what consumer is going to purchase a product that costs $80.00 for a months supply and then return it unopened? How can you tell if a product even works if you don't at least try it for a few days or weeks?
While Dermajuv may be a great moisturizing product and due to the introduction of resveratrol even help to delay the effects of aging in some people there is absolutely no evidence that this product can do what it is designed to do...fight acne. Considering the high price tag placed on this product and the less than helpful money back guarantee, it would probably be best if you saved the money and purchased an acne product that has been proven to be effective.
