Oxycerin Acne Treatment Review

Oxycerin is a relatively new acne treatment. Rather than being a topical cream, it is called an Acne Serum. Their main claim to fame is the use of a new product called tea tree oil. There have not been many studies done on this acne-fighting ingredient, nor reviews done on this particular acne treatment. Therefore, many things (such as long-term results) about Oxycerin are still unknown. Here is what we are able to learn.

How Does Oxycerin Work

The main ingredient in Oxycerin is tea tree oil. This product is supposedly the main acne-fighting ingredient because of its all-natural astringent properties. This oil is an extraction from the Melaleuca tree. The manufacturer’s of Oxycerin claim that they did studies that prove that tea tree oil has the same effect as that of Benzoyl Peroxide, with fewer side effects. However, there is not much other research done to back this up.

Oxycerin also contains several other ingredients—Aloe Vera, white willow bar, Licorice root, and Hyaluronic acid. Aloe Vera has long been known as a healing element for skin. White Willow bark is what Salicylic acid (a powerful anti-acne ingredient) comes from. Licorice root is helpful for inflammation. Hyaluronic acid is a moisturizer.

Advantages

The website for Oxycerin does go into detail about the research they have done on Tea Tree Oil. The information and research they provide about the ingredients in their product is impressive. However, it is not clear how it differs or is preferable to Benzoyl Peroxide. 

Disadvantages

The cost of Oxycerin is incredibly high considering that the product is supposed to be natural. Also, this product does not have any well-known acne-fighting ingredients, such as Silicol Dioxide or Inflacin. There are very few customer testimonials on the product’s website, and the few there are have questionable validity. (No photos, last names or any identifying information is given.) 

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is this: this is a new product that requires more testing and research to be done. Customers need to know WHY this product is better than the competition. If you wish to try this product, you will need to fork out a LOT of money. Most people, when spending vast amounts of cash, want to know they’re getting a sure thing. With Oxycerin, we’re not so sure.
